Delivery & pick-up info and Order questions
We deliver throughout Metro Vancouver, 7 days a week. We recommend making sure the recipient is in town before ordering to make sure your order is enjoyed. We require a local phone number for the recipient as we always call the night before to ensure a smooth delivery process with our courier service. Please note, if a delivery attempt is unsuccessful, there may be an additional charge to re-attempt or we may inform the recipient that their order will be available for pick up in-store instead. We aren't able to offer refunds for failed delivery attempts.

Deliveries are done between the hours of 11AM & 7PM and timing depends on traffic and our third party courier partners routing system.
Please note, these rates apply for standard flower delivery. Delivery rates and policies for weddings and events will vary depending on the logistics and size of the event. More information on Event services can be found on our Weddings & Events tab.
We offer local delivery through our trusted third party courier services. We phone the recipient the evening before the delivery to confirm the delivery address and arrange a convenient delivery window with them and make arrangements if they are unavailable.
In the event that the recipient is not home and there is a safe place to leave their arrangement at their home, the delivery driver may do so and will make every attempt to communicate the location of the delivery with the recipient. If we are unable to reach the recipient and unable to deliver your order successfully, we will contact you to discuss next steps. Please note, there may be additional charges for multiple delivery attempts.
We are not able to refund orders that are unable to be delivered due to the recipient not being available or incorrect address information.
If you have placed an order and learn that the recipient is out of town for the delivery date, please reach out 24 hours before the scheduled delivery to move your order to another date.
Date adjustments requested within 24 hours of the scheduled delivery may not be accommodated.
More information about our Delivery Policies can be found here.
No. In this day and age of online delivery, we would love to have an in-house delivery service that is connected to our online ecomm platform but that is not our reality.
While you will receive an order fulfillment notifcation when we receive your order, you will not receive any further confirmation.
If you would like to know the status of your delivery, feel free to call the shop and we can let you know if it has been retrieved by the courier from our shop and is enroute.
Absolutely! You are welcome to place an order online and select in-store pick up during checkout. Our system will ask you to select a pick up time but please know we just use this as a general guideline and your order will be ready for you anytime on your pick up date. If you are placing an order for someone else to pick up, please make sure you inform them as we do not provide reminder calls for pick up orders.
Wrapped bouquets will arrived wrapped in tissue and kraft paper. The stems will be wrapped in a wet towellette contained in a vegetable starch based bio-plastic bag. Depending on the weather and time of day, your bouquet may arrive a bit thirsty. We recommend immediately unwrapping your bouquet, trimming 1/4" from the bottom of the stems and placing directly into a clean vase of lukewarm water.
Vase arrangements will arrive packaged in one of our cardboard delivery boxes packed with tissue paper. Remove your vase from the box and top up any water that may have spilled during transport. Because we are committed to not using floral foam, our arrangements are made in fresh water alone, which does mean more spillage during transport.
Don't forget to take a peek at the hand-written card message inside the enclosure tag. Remove the tag from the wooden dowel to open.

Sourcing & Design questions
Since all of our arrangements are custom made and the seasons and stems we have available are always changing, no two arrangements will ever look identical. We think that's kind of awesome - you get to gift someone a one of a kind piece of floral art!
The photos we've selected in our product descriptions are all photos taken by us, of arrangements made by us. These will give you a very accurate depiction of our overall aesthetic and style. Specific varities of flowers and colour tones will fluctuate depending on the designer who is making your arrangement and the flowers and foliage we have available to us at that time.
And a quick note about sizing: we follow a quality over quantity ethos at Blossom & Vine but always try to create an impactful design for the price paid. Flowers are priced based on their value and not their size, meaning the types of flowers used will affect the cost of the arrangement. Often, very tiny flowers like ranunculus & sweet peas have a hefty price tag wheras flowers that take up a lot of space like chrysanthemums and alstromeria are much more affordable due to how easy they are to grow and readily available they are. We use our expertise to create a mix of premium and more economical stems to make sure you are getting the best of both worlds.
We aim to have any arrangement that leaves our shop last approximately 5 days.
A lot of factors beyond our control can effect vase life. As we are a smaller operation, we have the ability to be a bit more particular and uphold higher quality standards. We buy from our local flower growers multiple times per week. Any imported varities of flowers are shipped into the city to our supplier at the beginning of every week. We then purchase them and bring them back to our studio, ensuring they are properly hydrated and looked over before being used in our designs. Our designers hand select every flower that goes into your arrangement, making sure every stem is in great shape and likely to last once delivered. We encourage our customers to follow our enclosed care instructions for best results and remove any stems that are wilting as their arrangement evolves in the vase.
Even with all of our checks and balances, sometimes nature has other plans and flowers may wilt more quickly than expected. This may be because it's too warm in the home, they are put too close to direct sunlight or forced air, or, someone looked at them funny. This is NOT because we wanted to send your loved one dying flowers and steal your money... That would be very bad for our business.
We pride ourselves on doing the absolute best we can so our business can stand the test of time. We know it can be very disappointing when this happens so please reach out to orders@blossomandvinefloralco.com if you have any concerns and we'll be happy to help problem solve.
We now offer a loose stem bucket option in our A la Carte Event Flowers shop. This option comes with 30 individual stems in a chosen colour palette. This is a great option for DIY bud vases or other events that may require a larger quantity of single stems.
While we can work with a chosen colour palette, we cannot guarantee any specific number or specific variety of flower. For example, if you are after 30 white tulips and only white tulips, or 15 pink roses and 15 pink ranunculus, this would not be a suitable option for your needs. You may receive 5 pink ranunculus, 7 blush roses, 15 cream and blush carnations and 3 peonies: 30 individual stems in a cohesive colour palette. Every order will be a surprise mix.
Our retail shop has a stem bar that is regularly stocked with a variety of different flowers if you are looking to purchase a smaller amount of single stems. We cannot guarantee availability of any specific varieties or quantities as our stock changes daily.
Where our flowers are sourced from varies throughout the year. Lucky for us, we have one of the largest flower grower co-operatives in the world in our area. March through October, 70-90% of our flowers are locally sourced from farms in the Fraser Valley and Vancouver Island.
Some speciality items that we carry year-round, such as carnations, roses, delphinium, ranunculus and scabiosa, are imported from South America, Holland and Italy. We have put a pause on importing any flowers or foliage from the United States due to their current political climate.
Blossom & Vine Floral is committed to not using traditional floral foam in any of our daily delivery arrangements. Our online catalogue has been updated and features arrangements in vessels that don’t require the support and structure that foam provides. All of our arrangements will be made in a classic glass/pottery vase with fresh water.
For some of our more technical designs, we may use a waterproof tape grid and/or a ball of chicken-wire inside the vessel to provide a more sturdy base. In rare occurrances, we may utilize a product called Agro-wool which is made of a basalt rock wool that has been compressed to create a firm foam-like product that is 100% compostable and able to be reused.
This change will mean arrangements that are handled during delivery may require a top-up of water upon delivery more urgently than they would have when they were made in foam.
Our wrapped bouquets are packaged with fully compostable materials. We have substituted traditional single-use plastic cellophane wrapping with a vegetable based bio-plastic bag that holds the base of the bouquet in a wet wrap of paper towel. We've even done away with plastic card sticks and use bamboo skewers along with our 100% compostable product stickers, twine, wrapping and card enclosures.
All of the above!
